Since 1870, the Oglethorpe Club has enjoyed a reputation as one of the most prestigious private clubs in the South. After over 150 years of existence, the Oglethorpe Club continues to be a dynamic part of Savannah’s rich heritage and promising future.

The use of cell phones to take or accept telephone calls is prohibited in the public areas of the Club. Taking photographs on the Club premises is prohibited, although members may take photographs discreetly and solely for personal use, provided that no other members or guests of the Club are included in the photograph without their permission.  Under no circumstances may photographs taken on the Club premises be posted publicly on social media or otherwise.

The purpose of the Oglethorpe Club is for the social gathering of its Members and guests, and the bylaws of the Club therefore do not permit business to be conducted on the Club premises.  Business papers may not be brought into the Club premises.  Members may bring business colleagues or clients to the Club for purely social events and meals, provided no business is discussed.
